These are the Coat of Arms backgrounds I have made for our site. You may use them as you wish, though I do request that they be used only where the Coat of Arms are applicable, though I must admit I took some liberties with some of the arms. If you would like more information on the Coats of Arms, please feel free to contact me through the Contact page.

The Arms of Adelade of Aquitaine. It is rare for a woman to be granted arms. This Adelade may be the Adelaide who is the daughter of Ranulf I of Aquitaine.

The Arms of John Assheton.

I believe these are the Arms of Hugh de Aldithley (Audley).

The Arms of Ingram de Balliol from St. George's Roll, 1285. This is probably not the same Ingram on the page, but may be in the same family.

The Arms of Hugh de Balliol from Glover's Roll, 1252.

The Arms of Philip Bassett from Glover's Roll ABT 1252.

The Arms of Ralph Basset from Glover's Roll, 1252.

The Arms of Guy de Beauchamp, Earl of Warwick, from the Falkirk Roll, 1298.

This is the Beaumont Coat of Arms, although I'm not sure where I found it so it may not be correct for anyone on the page.

Another Arms for a Beaumont, this one is from the Armorial Wijnbergen.

These Arms were listed by the Baronage Press as being early Bethune (Beaton) arms borne as Advocates of Boulogne.

The Arms of Roger le Bigod, Earl of Norfolk.

I'm not sure where this one came from. It is supposed to be the arms of the Braose "family" and may be that of William "Black Will" de Braose.

The Arms of Jean de Brienne.

The Arms of Hugh Capet, King of France. Another one I find odd considering the date.

The Arms of Charlemagne (Charles the Great). Another odd one, really odd.

The Arms of the Viscount of Thouars from the 13th century. It is used on the page of Chastellerault and Thouars.

The Arms of Roger de Clifford from the Camden Roll, 1280.

The standard Arms of the counts of Barcelona from the 13th century.

The Arms of Eustace of Boulogne from the 1st Crusade in Cyprus.

These are the arms of Hugh le Despenser from the Falkirk Roll. Some sources say the second and third quarter are "a fret" instead of "fretty", meaning they should each have one knot instead of the woven looking knots.

The Arms of Robert de France, Count of Dreux (Robert I, Count of Dreux).

The Arms of the Count of Auxerre from the Chifflet-Prinet Roll, ABT 1285-1298.

I couldn't find arms for anyone on the Counts of Flanders page, so I used the standard "Flanders Lion".

The Arms of the Counts of Louvain from the Camden Roll.

The Arms of the Counts of Marienne. Note that the information on this page is no longer valid. See Counts of Savoy instead.

This is the Arms for the counts of Ponthieu used in the 13th century.

The Arms of Amadeus of Savoy from the Camden Roll 1280. I used these arms even though Amadeus does not appear on the Counts of Savoy page; I believe he is a decendant.

These are the arms of John de Courtenay from Glover's Roll, ABT 1252

The Arms of John de Cromwell. The lion rampant should be double queued (having two tails). I may fix this in the near future.

The Arms of the Dammartin Counts of Boulogne from the Armorial du Herault Vermandois ABT 1285-1300.

The Arms belonged to William D'Aubigny.

These are the Arms of Richard de Burgh, "Red Earl" of Ulster, from Lord Marshall's Roll, 1295.

The Arms of Gilbert de Clare. Previous de Clares may have used six chevrons instead of three.

The Arms of Richard "Strongbow" de Clare. He added the label to distinguish his arms from those of his father, Gilbert.

The Arms of Gilbert "the Red Earl" de Clare.
